We are now seeking to recruit an experienced Electromechanical Fitter with rotating machines experience to work for our new company in Spain.
Key Responsibilities & Accountability
- Carry out inspections and disassembly/reassembly of medium and large rotating machines (motors and generators, turbogenerators, hydrogenerators)
- Alignment, on-site rotor removal, mechanical and visual inspections of all motor/generator components
- Removal of retaining rings
- Pressure testing of coolers
- Basic electrical testing, IR/PI and winding resistance, to assess machine condition
Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes
- Requirements for this position include holding a qualification in Mechanical Engineering, such as an NVQ or equivalent
- Previous experience in fitting and winding for large electrical machinery is essential, with a minimum of 3 years on-site experience
- Knowledge of medium and large electrical rotating machines (High Voltage), AC & DC motors, and generators is required
- Knowledge of Hydro Generators would be advantageous
- Basic knowledge of the English language (written and spoken) to allow communication at site and with HQ engineering is requested
