We are seeking an experienced HVDC Protection & Switchgear Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d) to support the commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of protection and switchgear systems for HVDC transmission projects. The role involves working closely with engineering and project teams to ensure the safe and reliable operation of critical power infrastructure.
The HVDC Protection & Switchgear Commissioning Engineer is responsible for commissioning, testing and troubleshooting HV switchgear, protection systems, protection relays and associated control equipment used in HVDC and substation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission protection and control systems.
- Configure and test protection relays.
- Perform end-to-end relay testing.
- Execute functional and performance testing.
- Verify interlocking schemes and protection logic.
- Conduct FAT, SAT and site acceptance testing.
- Support commissioning of switchgear and auxiliary systems.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience in protection and switchgear commissioning.
- Experience with:
- SIPROTEC
- DIGSI
- Protection Schemes

- AC/DC protection systems.
- Auxiliary power system commissioning
