Role Description The Medical Doctor will provide telemedicine consultations to pediatric and adult patients via audio and video from the Zürich Metropolitan Area in an on-site setting. In this full‑time role, the doctor will assess patient histories, perform remote clinical evaluations, establish diagnoses, and develop evidence‑based treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include issuing electronic prescriptions, preparing referrals for laboratory investigations, imaging and specialist consultations, and documenting all encounters in accordance with Swiss regulatory and data protection requirements. The doctor will collaborate with the wider clinical and administrative team to optimize patient flow, ensure quality of care, and contribute to continuous improvement of telemedicine protocols. The role also involves advising patients on follow‑up care, prevention, and when in‑person evaluation is required.
Qualifications
Licensed physician (FMH or equivalent) authorized to practice medicine in Switzerland, with a specialization in internal medicine, general practice, or pediatrics.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, including experience managing common acute and chronic conditions in adult and pediatric populations.
Proficiency in telemedicine practice, including safe remote examination techniques, digital documentation, and familiarity with secure e‑prescribing and referral systems.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain medical information clearly and empathetically to diverse patient groups in a remote setting.
Fluency in at least one official Swiss language (e.g., German, French, Italian) and good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
Solid understanding of Swiss healthcare system structures, insurance coverage, and relevant clinical guidelines and regulations.
Comfort with digital tools and electronic health records, and openness to adopting new telemedicine technologies and workflows.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, exercise sound clinical judgment, and maintain high ethical and confidentiality standards.
Prior experience in telehealth, outpatient care, or primary care in Switzerland is highly beneficial.
