For a leading and fast-growing international data center operator, we are looking for a Senior Datacenter Service Engineer to strengthen the operations team in Berlin. This organization delivers high-performance, mission-critical infrastructure to global clients and is known for its strong operational standards and rapid growth across Europe.
You will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing critical infrastructure, while also acting as a mentor to junior engineers and a trusted backup to the Datacenter Service Manager.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of datacenter services, ensuring the highest standards of availability, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Operate and monitor critical datacenter infrastructure (power, cooling, and associated systems)
- Execute and manage critical processes to mitigate operational risks
- Handle incident management, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal downtime
- Deliver customer-facing services such as remote hands and cross-connect provisioning
- Create, review, and follow MOPs (Method of Procedures) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Coordinate and manage suppliers and contractors for maintenance and service activities
- Support customer onboarding in line with contractual agreements, timelines, and budgets
- Manage administrative processes such as purchase orders and service documentation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operations and efficiency
- Act as a technical mentor and role model for less experienced engineers
- Ensure strict adherence to security policies and compliance standards
- Step in for the Datacenter Service Manager when required
Your Profile
You are a technically strong, hands-on engineer with a proactive mindset and a strong sense of ownership in mission-critical environments.
- Degree or vocational training in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a relevant technical or datacenter environment
- Strong knowledge of datacenter infrastructure and operations
- Experience working in critical environments with high availability requirements
- Certified CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional) or equivalent is highly preferred
- Solid understanding of risk mitigation, incident handling, and operational procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to guide and support team members
- Fluent in English and German is a strong advantage.

Additional Information
- Participation in an on-call rotation is required
- Overtime compensation is part of the employment conditions
- You will act as backup for the Datacenter Service Manager when needed
