RailNetEurope (RNE) is an association of European Infrastructure Managers (IMs) and Allocation Bodies (Abs) headquartered in Vienna. With around 80 international employees, we actively shape the future of European rail transport. Through innovative processes and IT solutions, we drive the digitalization and efficiency of European capacity management in view of the upcoming requirements from EU legislation.
We are looking for a motivated Junior IT Manager to support the digitalization of railway applications and data interoperability.
YOURDUTIES&RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting IT projects focused on the digitalization of railway processes and applications.
Translating business requirements into technical specifications and executing technical application tasks.
Supporting partners and clients with software installations, configurations, and end-to-end integration testing.
Analyzing railway data, ensuring data quality, and supporting improvements in accuracy and completeness.
Contributing to development and governance meetings, including coordination, documentation, and reporting.
Supporting RNE representation, training delivery, and initiatives in Linked Data, AI, and interoperability.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Completed vocational training or a bachelor’s degree in IT and 2–3 years of relevant work experience.
Experience in managing IT systems development projects and IT support processes and procedures.
Basic knowledge of XML and SQL, plus familiarity with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
Strong English skills (C1) with excellent communication in international environments.
Core networking knowledge with Docker and Kubernetes basics and strong willingness to learn
Experience with Linked Data and Semantic Web technologies (RDF, SPARQL) is considered an asset.

willingness to offer above-market salary depending on experience and qualifications.
