A leading insurance company in Lucerne is looking for a Senior Java/ JEE developer. There is a 2-3 days home office.
To introduce the unified financing of outpatient and inpatient services in the Swiss healthcare system (EFAS) on January 1, 2028, they are developing the new application system in this greenfield project with a newly assembled development team. They are looking for two senior Java/JEE software developers for this project.
The role:
- You will work and support the Scrum team as a JEE developer, developing and programming sophisticated, architecture-compliant solution variants according to CSS and team-internal specifications (e.g. DoD) and ensuring quality assurance including product regression.
- Your developer heart will get its money's worth with us: You'll work with interesting technologies such as Java, event and workflow-based architectures, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- You strive for excellence, utilizing modern software engineering practices such as Clean Code, Clean Architecture (Onion Architecture), TDD, BDD and DDD.
- You build it, you run it! As a DevOps and Scrum team member, you are responsible for the software, from conception to operation.
- Your openness to new things, your ideas and experiences will help the team move forward.
Requirements:
- You have several years of experience in software development (Java/Jakarta Stack, Kubernetes and DevOps, ideally also WebDev and Angular) and enjoy complex tasks.
- You care deeply about quality in software development. Your code is high-quality and sustainable.
- Several years of experience in the health insurance sector is an advantage.
- You enjoy learning new things and are characterized by a strong willingness to learn and the ability to work independently.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Direct, active collaboration with the business and other development teams is an enrichment for you.
- You're a team player, actively contribute, and aren't afraid to ask questions. Plus, you embody the Lean-Agile mindset of SAFe, just like we do.
