Planner Construction Sector

For one of our clients, a leader in the construction and engineering sector, we are looking for a Planner for their Lugano office.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, study, and constantly update the general work schedule and ensure compliance with the timelines imposed on subcontractors.
• Compare the contractual work schedule with the actual work schedule.
• Compare on-site time and costs with project budgets and timelines.
• Assist site management and report directly to the Project Manager (PM).
• Coordinate the submission of subcontractors‘ work schedules and monitor compliance.
• Schedule consortium supplies within the timeframes set for the site and procurement.
• Evaluate project optimizations in terms of time.
• Identify potential critical issues in meeting the work schedule and prepare monthly reports.
• Participate in meetings with the Consortium team and the client.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
• Experience as a general contractor
• Excellent knowledge of MS Project and general proficiency with Office tools
• Ability to work both in a team and independently
• Ability to work under pressure
• Native Italian speaker with excellent knowledge of English (German and French are desirable)
• Solid knowledge of concrete structures, metal carpentry, and systems (electrical and mechanical)
• Knowledge of BIM
