Job Title: Director of Product Management
As the Director of Product Management, you will directly report to our CPO and lead a team of product managers to shape the ERP product strategy and roadmap, aligned with our product vision in collaboration with executive leadership and the product team.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to align product strategy with revenue goals, customer acquisition, and retention strategies, ensuring products contribute to sustainable growth and profitability.
- Establish a strong data culture within the product team by defining key metrics, implementing analytics frameworks, and optimizing product performance based on insights.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to refine pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies to maximize revenue and customer lifetime value.
- Lead the creation of business cases for new initiatives, ensuring alignment with market demand, cost structures, and ROI.
- Conduct market research, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions and maintain market position.
- Translate company objectives into actionable KPIs, align product initiatives, and be accountable for contributions to company success.
- Liaise with other team leads and executive leadership to improve and advocate for best product management practices.
- Orchestrate multiple cross-functional projects and communicate progress and tradeoffs to stakeholders at all levels.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand needs, provide transparency, and facilitate product-related decision-making.
- Foster a culture of transparency and communication, encouraging constructive challenge to achieve optimal results.
- Monitor competition, discern market and customer trends, and ensure teams focus on the right priorities.
- Educate and mentor product managers, setting high standards for quality in execution and process.
- Require 8+ years of experience in shipping ERP or complex B2B software products and 4+ years leading product management teams in fast-paced environments.
- Possess a strong commercial mindset, understanding how product decisions impact revenue, growth, and profitability; experience with pricing and go-to-market strategies is a plus.
- Be highly data-literate, leveraging analytics and insights with tools like SQL, Matomo, or MS Clarity.
- Be fluent in financial modeling and business case development to assess investments and prioritize initiatives.
- Have a proven track record of improving key metrics such as customer acquisition, churn, retention, and revenue through product initiatives.
- Be analytical and data-informed, seeking insights to optimize impact aligned with company KPIs.
- Obsessed with understanding user needs, with thorough knowledge of design methodologies.
- Exhibit an empowering leadership style, thriving in diverse teams.
- Proven ability to lead the entire software development cycle in B2B contexts.
- Capable of handling ambiguity, being pragmatic and resourceful.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
