We are looking for an interior designer who enjoys continuing to build on existing structures. You are responsible for demanding conversion, expansion, repurposing, extension, extension and transformation projects across all planning phases. You combine design conviction with constructive precision and lead projects in the inventory from inventory analysis, concept and design phase to execution, acceptance and handover.

What awaits you

Collaboration and independent project management in studies, preliminary and construction projects in building within existing structures — with conversions, interior fittings, repurposing, extensions, additions and transformations.

Analysis of existing spaces, components, materialities and potential uses. From this, you develop careful spatial, design and constructive solutions for the next phase of the building's use.

Responsibility for spatial, usage, material, color, lighting and equipment concepts, as well as for the conception, execution and detailed planning of the interior design.

Preparation and coordination of tender, award and works contract documents in accordance with the agreed SIA standards, in particular SIA 102 and SIA 118.

Processing of cost estimates and cost estimates, ongoing cost control with delta construction cost, scheduling, construction management and quality assurance for renovation projects.

Independent management of projects from inventory analysis and feasibility assessment to room and material concept, planning and tendering, to execution, acceptance and handover.

Coordination of specialist planners, entrepreneurs, suppliers and authorities, as well as conducting project and construction meetings.

Direct support of building authorities: You prepare decisions, document them in a comprehensible manner, and clearly communicate the project status, risks, costs, deadlines, and need for action.

Combining design quality and constructive understanding: You develop spaces precisely, carefully set materials and details, and consider substrate preservation, reuse, reversibility, and long-term economic efficiency.

Close collaboration in a small, interdisciplinary team with direct exchange, short decision-making processes and close coordination with management.

What you bring with you

Completed studies in interior design, for example BA/MA FH. A sound, constructive basic education as a draftsman in the EFZ specialization of architecture is advantageous.

At least six years of professional experience in Switzerland, ideally with experience in project management, execution planning and construction management.

Proven experience in building existing structures, especially in conversions, interior fittings, repurposing, extensions, additions or transformations.

Ability to read, evaluate, and precisely develop existing spaces, constructions, and substance.

Sound knowledge of SIA standards, especially SIA 102 and SIA 118. Experience with building applications, official procedures and the coordination of specialist documents is advantageous.

High standards for design, space, material and detail, as well as enthusiasm for design quality in the context of the inventory.

Excellent knowledge of Vectorworks architecture, especially in 3D planning. Since we will be switching to Archicad 3D from 2027 onwards, we assume a willingness to learn. Existing Archicad knowledge as well as experience with Deltabaucost, Affinity Photo 2, Affinity Publisher 2 and Asana are an advantage.

Independent, structured and responsible working methods. You prepare decisions in a well-founded manner, keep costs, deadlines and quality in mind, and reliably implement tasks.

Team spirit, communication skills and a love of direct, collegial collaboration.

Very good German skills in spoken and written language, at least level C1, as well as good English skills, at least level B2.
