Your Role
As our company\’s portfolio continues to expand, Razor Group is entering into new territories, leading to increased complexity. Consequently, our Accounting team is actively seeking a highly capable Group Accounting Manager to join our dynamic Group accounting team. This role will be based at our corporate offices located in Berlin, Germany. You will be working on high-impact initiatives with various members of Razor Management across Commercial, Growth, and Operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure thorough documentation of accounting and reporting conclusions, in particular related to IFRS 2, IFRS 3, IFRS 9, and IAS 36.
- Responsible for Group IFRS adjustments, translating our various local GAAP into group consolidated IFRS Statements.
- Responsible for the preparation of the IFRS group financial statements.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly analytical reviews for the Income Statement and Balance Sheet of all entities under your responsibility.
- Conduct monthly accounts reconciliation process for multiple subsidiaries and geographies.
- Oversee compliance reporting and ensure timely filing of all statutory accounts within your area of responsibility.
- Support integration of new entities acquired by the group.
- Support various aspects of our accounting and reporting process.
- Collaborate with relevant internal teams to address and resolve audit queries within agreed timelines.
- Drive accounting performance by monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and leading projects to reduce manual effort.
- Identify potential areas for process improvement and effectively implement changes in coordination with peers and management.
Most of our candidates for this position will also have held comparable positions within larger public companies or held a manager position at a Big 4 accounting firms, where they have served Fortune 500 clients for 5 or more years.
Your Profile
To succeed in this role you:
- have 5+ years of professional experience in accounting or a related analytical field, preferably working with Big 4 accounting firms and Fortune 500 clients and/or in a fast-paced environment.
- are carrying a bachelor or master\’s degree in economics, finance, or accounting; knowledge of HGB/UK GAAP as well as financial statement processes and statutory reporting is a plus.
- have outstanding project management abilities and manage multiple priorities.
- process outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with an aptitude for information technology.
- have strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
- have a demonstrated history of solving multiple and complex operational and accounting challenges.
- are business fluent in English; any other language would be considered an asset.
