RE Technologies is seeking a talent professional with 12+ years of experience to lead the grid team and is responsible for delivering the wind farm simulations in respective simulation models (PSSE, PSCAD, etc) for the specific countries. The team lead Grid Engineering also makes sure the necessary developments for the wind turbines are kicked-off to fulfil the grid requirements and is well aligned with customers & grid authorities and can drive the code development with his team

Key Responsibilities

Lead the grid team in order to deliver in full (on time, at cost and at quality) on all deliverables (steady state simulations with PSS/E, PSCAD, DigSilent; Harmonic Studies, Grid compliance studies, etc.)

•Be able to perform simulations / guide team regarding all necessary s

•Set-up cooperations with 3rd parties (e.g. engineering centres) to ensure fast support

•Establish communication with grid authorities / operators and customers to enable smooth grid connection for wind farms

•Take part in grid code development and in different committees

•Set-up a system/process for global grid code analysis with first focus on India, Europe and Middle East

•Implement / Drive new developments for grid compliance / additional grid service to enable unique selling position

•Developing processes and tools to optimize the work of the grid engineering team (e.g. enable fast and automated project calculations)

•Built-up of global grid team (competency and efficiency)

•Support certification activities related to grid behaviour DECS/Type Certificate

•Make sure NCR´s are solved on-time and with respective quality.

•Monitor execution tightly and pro-actively mitigate/Eliminate risks.

•Implement lean processes and management mechanisms for superior performance.

•Communicate effectively and constructively within own team, with colleagues across P&T and global organization

•Comply and ensure compliance of the team to all processes and procedures of Senvion India about program execution progress, risk, milestones etc.

•Ensure 100% compliance to QMS processes

Desired Professional Experience

•Must have experience in grid simulation, grid code development and then transfer local requirements into turbine design – preferably in renewable energies (wind)

•Direct/Indirect exposure and working experience with certification bodies, grid operators, committees to define grid codes and customers

•Direct/Indirect exposure to work with technology team, sales team, customer and grid operator teams

•Sound Knowledge within innovative simulations grid compliance; Knowledge of IEC guidelines and other guidelines regarding grid code and wind farm / turbine behaviour

•Good Reporting and Documentation skills using MS-office tools.

•Must have experience in co-development of technologies / simulation tools with third parties

•Experience in leading teams/departments with up to 15 people.

•Must have good organizational and communication skills in a global set-up, Ability to drive on own
