Scientific Director - Healthcare Communications

The Group Director handles client relationships on large or multiple engagements. You have a stellar client services reputation You have a passion for health care and digital health Oversee the distribution of client announcements via the appropriate regulatory channels and follow up with media in a timely manner Develop high-level and persuasive communications plans to meet the clients business objectives Lead operational efforts and be accountable for the financial performance of engagements through close management of budgets and team members Ensure the quality of the account team(s) is held to the highest standard and that all client requests are handled in a strategic and timely manner Partner with shared service leads to run and grow integrated business (social media/digital, creative), and to develop new business opportunities Directly supervise account staff and promote continuous learning and development to help build a high performing culture You are proactive, driven, and resourceful with strong prioritization skills and a desire to dive into the data. ~ Understanding of the everchanging digital landscape Project management experience, demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and manage detailed budgets Supervisory skills, with ability to manage and cultivate junior staff and effectively collaborate with subcontractors HIGHLY DESIREABLE, but not required: scientific knowledge from educational degree or through work on high-science business areas/accounts We have offices in cities with many employees and clients – New York, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, Carmel (IN), Manchester (UK), Edinburgh (UK), and London (UK) – that serve as hubs where and when they need us. For employees who are within an hour of one of our offices, we expect attendance in the office two days per week, either at a Real Chemistry office or onsite with clients. We are not looking for attendance for the sake of attendance but believe that the opportunity to coordinate in-office team meetings, 1:1 meetings with managers, taking advantage of on-site learning, and connecting with client partners is a critical to delivering on our purpose of making healthcare what it should be. Outside of these offices, we have regions, where people work remotely but come together quarterly for collaboration, culture and learning opportunities. We call this our Real Hybrid and Regional Teams (Real HART) approach.
