To further strengthen our AI capabilities in Germany, we are looking for an experienced AI Lead (m/f/d) who can combine AI expertise, business thinking, leadership and a strong client focus.
Your Mission
As AI Lead, you will drive the commercial, strategic and technical development of our local AI practice in Germany.
You will be the key interface between our clients, local business teams, global AI leadership and technical experts. Your role will be to translate emerging AI technologies into meaningful business opportunities, shape innovative solutions for clients and build a strong, high-performing AI team in Germany.
You will have the opportunity to influence not only how we deliver AI projects, but also how we grow and position our AI business in the German market.
Your Responsibilities
Presales & Business Development
- Independently lead and actively participate in AI presales activities.
- Analyze client challenges and translate business requirements into AI strategies and solution concepts.
- Shape AI solutions together with our technical experts and global AI Practice.
- Present solutions convincingly to senior business and technology decision-makers.
- Support local Sales and Account teams in proposals, pitches and the development of new business opportunities.
- Help identify opportunities where AI, GenAI, LLMs and intelligent automation can create measurable business value.
- Contribute to the commercialization and further development of Adastra's own AI solutions and accelerators.
Bridge-Building & Global Interface
- Act as the bridge between the German market and Adastra's global AI strategy.
- Establish effective two-way knowledge transfer between local and global teams.
- Bring market insights, customer needs and emerging AI trends from Germany into the global AI organization.
- Introduce global AI standards, methodologies and best practices into the German market.
- Collaborate closely with global AI Practice Leads and experts across our international organization.
Local AI Leadership
- Lead, mentor and develop the local AI expert team.
- Build and strengthen AI capabilities in Germany as the business grows.
- Support the team in delivering high-quality AI projects and innovative client solutions.
- Encourage knowledge sharing, continuous learning and adoption of new AI technologies.
- Help define the skills, capabilities and delivery standards required for a growing German AI practice.
External AI Thought Leadership
- Position Adastra as a recognized AI expert in the German market.
- Represent the company at conferences, industry events, customer workshops and industry forums.
- Build visibility and credibility within the German AI ecosystem.
- Contribute to articles, presentations and other thought-leadership activities.
- Follow emerging AI trends and translate them into relevant opportunities for our clients and our business.
Internal AI Thought Leadership
- Act as a go-to expert for AI topics across Adastra.
- Shape internal AI best practices, methodologies and standards.
- Support other business units in identifying and developing AI opportunities.
- Promote the responsible and effective adoption of GenAI, LLMs and AI-driven solutions across the organization.
What We Are Looking For
AI & Consulting Experience
- Proven track record in leading AI teams, AI practices or significant AI initiatives, ideally within consulting, systems integration or professional services.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs and modern data platforms.
- Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into business value and client outcomes.
- A technical degree or strong hands-on experience in AI/data science is a plus.
- Proven experience engaging with clients at a senior and executive level.
- Experience with solution design, proposal development, client presentations and presales.
- Ability to identify AI opportunities and turn them into concrete business propositions.
- Strong understanding of how AI can support business transformation, efficiency and new business models.
Leadership
- Experience building, leading and developing AI/Data Science teams, preferably in an international or distributed environment.
- Strong people leadership and mentoring skills.
- Ability to create an environment that supports innovation, collaboration and continuous development.
Bridge Builder
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within global matrix organizations.
- Comfortable connecting local market requirements with global strategies, capabilities and standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical, commercial and executive stakeholders.
Thought Leadership
- Willingness and ability to become a visible AI thought leader, both internally and externally.
- Genuine interest in emerging AI technologies and their practical business applications.
- Public speaking experience, published articles or participation in AI conferences and industry events is an advantage.
Languages
- Fluent German – native speaker strongly preferred.
- Business-fluent English for collaboration with our global teams.

- Direct reporting to the Global AI Practice Lead.
- Close collaboration with regional Delivery leadership.
- Regular interaction with global AI Practice Leads, local Sales and Account Leads, technical experts and other Subpractice Leads.
- International collaboration across Adastra's global AI and technology organization.
