Requirements
- Computer science or a related field preferred (or equivalent professional experience).
- Min. 2 years of experience as a system administrator or in a comparable role. (Experience in a production environment preferred).
- Fluent German and very good English skills.
- Knowledge of the principles and procedures for providing customer and HR services.
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering and technology.
- Good knowledge of virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms preferred.
- Experience with cybersecurity practices and tools.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically (10%).
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Carry out regular system updates, patches and maintenance to ensure system integrity and security.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and be proactive about potential problems. Implement and maintain system backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Manage and maintain servers to ensure optimal performance and security, including physical and virtual servers. Troubleshoot server issues and implement necessary solutions.
- Provide technical support to end users, including software installation, configuration, and problem resolution. Train employees on best practices in using company systems and tools.
- Implement and maintain security protocols, including user access controls and firewall configurations. Monitor and respond promptly to security incidents and breaches. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Prepare regular reports on system performance and incidents for management review.
- Collaborate with IT team on various projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and technology integrations. Participate in the evaluation and recommendation of new technologies and solutions to improve system performance.
