Member of the Manufacturing Leadership Team and deputy to the Head of Operations.Languages: English and German at professional working level, both used daily (knockout).ScopeLead, develop and coach a multidisciplinary team of process engineers, manufacturing specialists, shift team leads and biotechnologists: performance management, workforce planning, hiring.Ensure safe, compliant and efficient execution of DSP manufacturing campaigns in line with safety, quality, GMP and customer requirements.Drive operational excellence, resource and capacity planning, training strategy and the implementation of new technologies.Lead cross-functionally with MSAT, Production Support, QA and USP, represent manufacturing in customer meetings, audits and inspections, and approve change controls, risk assessments and GMP documentation.Act as manufacturing SME on capital investment and facility expansion projects, and as deputy to the Head of Operations.Profile — Required criteria (knockout)10+ years of experience in biotechnological manufacturing, in a GMP production environment.Demonstrated hands-on downstream processing (DSP) manufacturing background.Proven people leadership of a manufacturing team, including performance management and development of team members.MSc or equivalent degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or a related discipline.Differentiators: CDMO or multi-customer environment, direct participation in customer audits and EU GMP / FDA inspections, Lean, Six Sigma or standardisation programmes, contribution to CAPEX projects as manufacturing SME, experience deputising for a Head of Operations.ProcessConfidential recruitment process.
