Role: Linux Administrator
Location: Frankfurt, Germany
Start Date: April 1st, 2025 (or earlier)

2-3 days on site in Frankfurt

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Linux servers (RedHat, SUSE, CentOS) with certification preferred.
• Handle server builds, OS/platform migrations (Physical to Virtual).
• Configure and manage high-availability clusters (Pacemaker).
• Manage volume/storage systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Work with VMware (all versions) and virtualization technologies.
• Automate tasks using Shell scripting; Python/Perl preferred.
• Utilize configuration tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef).
• Ensure security compliance and patch management.
• Monitor OS performance and optimize system efficiency.
• Install, configure, and manage software tools (HAProxy, SNMP, NTP, HTTP, LDAP, etc.).
• Understand network protocols, subnetting, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain technical documentation and reports.
• Preferable knowledge of SAP, DB2, and middleware applications.
• Cloud experience (Azure) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and incident-handling abilities.
• Effective teamwork and independent working capability.
• Excellent communication skills in German & English.
• Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
