Senior Software Engineer, AI Dev Experience in Zug

Job description The AI Developer Experience team builds the tools, services, and governance that enable Thomson Reuters engineers, data scientists, and legal subject matter experts to develop dependable AI products.

Our work spans Co Counsel agentic evaluations—a trusted, versioned source of proprietary evaluation data and a distributed platform for measuring agent builds at scale using LLM judges—and the Enterprise AI Platform, the shared foundation for building with LLMs across the company, including governed model access, prompt and workflow tooling, retrieval, evaluation, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust back-end services and APIs using Python.
• Architect and implement scalable solutions on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Ensure system reliability, security, and performance through best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to technical standards.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions.
• Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong proficiency in Python and related frameworks.
• Advanced English Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
• Experience with AI agents or frameworks such as Co Pilot or Claud Code or another AI agent.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
