As Head of Underwriting & Claims for CE, you will lead RGA’s underwriting and claims activities for the Central Europe region, partnering with regional leadership to drive growth and operational excellence. You will shape the sub‑region strategy, strengthen client relationships, and guide high‑performing teams through transformation and innovation. You’ll leverage biometric insights and new tech to enhance client outcomes and market competitiveness. This is a strategic, cross‑functional role focused on delivering value for clients while advancing RGA’s growth ambitions.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Act as the senior underwriting and claims representative for the assigned area, building strong client and partner relationships
- Collaborate with MD, Business Development and Pricing to identify profitable growth opportunities
- Provide underwriting and claims thought leadership through client engagements and strategic discussions
- Develop and execute the sub‑regional underwriting and claims strategy aligned with regional objectives
- Identify market trends and regulatory developments to keep RGA at the forefront of industry changes
- Coordinate with regional leadership to share best practices and deliver the regional strategy
- Lead underwriting and claims teams to meet service standards and business objectives
- Oversee capacity planning, resource allocation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Champion client quality assurance and governance across underwriting and claims
- Promote adoption of biometric, underwriting and claims solutions and develop the team through coaching and development
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences; professional qualification in underwriting, claims, insurance or related discipline
- Significant life and health insurance or reinsurance experience with leadership exposure to underwriting and/or claims
- Proven experience leading technical, operational or client-facing teams
- Demonstrated success managing strategic client relationships and supporting growth initiatives
- Experience delivering operational improvement and transformation initiatives
- Multinational or reinsurance environment experience preferred
- Experience across multiple product lines and distribution channels preferred
- Strong understanding of underwriting philosophy, claims management, risk assessment and governance
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders at executive level
- Strategic leadership and execution across underwriting and claims
- Underwriting, claims, risk assessment and governance expertise in life/health insurance or reinsurance
- Excellent leadership, coaching and people development skills
- Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills balancing client needs, objectives and risk
