Senior Accountant, Multinational Company, Hamburg
Our client, a multinational company based in Hamburg, is seeking a talented Senior Accountant. The role reports directly to the Finance Director.
Main Tasks and Areas of Responsibility:
- Managing the accounting of all current business transactions.
- Posting wages and salaries in coordination with external payroll accounting.
- Overseeing asset accounting and preparing asset statements.
- Conducting VAT checks and preparing monthly VAT advance returns.
- Processing reminders in the accounts payable area.
- Supporting the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements (IFRS and HGB).
- Monitoring and coordinating accounts receivable and accounts payable accounting.
- Acting as the contact person for auditors, tax advisors, consultants, and tax authorities.
- Administering the DIAMANT accounting software.
- Overseeing travel expense accounting.
- Monitoring and processing payment transactions both domestically and internationally.
- Coordinating financial accounting data with controlling.
- Creating statistical reports.
Requirements:
- Commercial qualification as a financial accountant or a graduate degree in business administration.
- Several years of professional experience as an accountant.
- Strong time management and quick comprehension skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
