Get started by familiarizing yourself with developing automotive OEM business at a German automotive OEM account (car manufacturer). Experience in semiconductor sales and technical knowledge of automotive and semiconductors is beneficial but not mandatory for the ideal candidate.
- Manage OEM accounts and drive business development by collaborating with internal marketing, business units, and Tier1 sales teams.
- Communicate clearly, report promptly, and maintain proper internal and external conduct.
- Build customer relationships by engaging contacts in technical and purchasing departments, and develop relationships to achieve business results. Process RFQs and lead quotation processes. Act as a \’lobbyist\‘ to promote Renesas products to OEMs and Tier1s.
- Drive business development through follow-up meetings with potential OEM customers, identify and quantify business opportunities, and develop sales strategies and tactics. Prepare and deliver technical and commercial presentations to OEM directors. Collaborate across departments and regions to meet global objectives.
- Report on sales progress, forecast revenue, and develop and review account strategies with management.
Qualifications
- Technical university degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Knowledge of the automotive and semiconductor industries is preferable, along with experience in sales of MCUs, SoCs, analog, and power devices.
- Highly motivated, proactive, result-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills and teamwork capabilities.
- Excellent communication and timely reporting skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and agile in adapting to new tools.
- Possess a sense of challenge and humor.
