Sr Manager, Application Engineering (f/m/d)

As a manager of the application engineering team for MCU tools and Ecosystems, you will oversee the development and production of new evaluation boards and solutions for the automotive MCU series. You will collaborate closely with product marketing teams and board design teams.

In your role:

1. Lead a team creating new Renesas automotive solutions.
2. Collaborate internally with Application Engineers and Product Marketers, and externally with customers and partners.
3. Provide application training to FAE, Sales, Distributors, and customers.
4. Present Renesas’ technologies, products, and applications at technical seminars.
5. Manage development and production of hardware and software solutions.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of automotive system requirements and ability to propose optimized products and solutions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of embedded microcontrollers, development tools, and ecosystems.
• Hands-on hardware/software development experience.
• Motivated to lead projects to completion, with an openness to working internationally.
• Strong understanding of technical requirements and customer expectations.
• Knowledge of development and manufacturing costs for evaluating system solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to articulate complex topics clearly.
• Skilled in project management, planning, and milestone tracking.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and influence both local and remote teams.
• Fluent in English and German.
• Result-oriented, self-organized, and independent thinker.
