Component Repair Technician - Vacuum Pumps / Residual Gas Analyzers (RGAs) in München

RequireTech Resources is looking for a Component Repair Technician for one of its leading clients in Munich, Germany.

The Component Repair Technician is responsible for the hands‑on inspection, disassembly, evaluation, repair, reassembly, testing, and documentation of vacuum‑related components and assemblies.

The primary focus of the role is the repair and refurbishment of vacuum pumps, with additional responsibility for Residual Gas Analyzers (RGAs) and, as the repair capability develops, Helium Leak Detectors and other vacuum components. The technician will work in a clean, organized workshop environment using procedures, technical documentation, and ISO-aligned quality processes.

This position is intended for a practical, technically skilled individual who can work independently, take ownership of assigned repairs, and consistently produce accurate and well‑documented work with minimal day-to-day supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Component Inspection, Disassembly & Evaluation

• Receive and identify incoming components and verify equipment condition and repair requirements
• Safely disassemble vacuum pumps and other mechanical or electromechanical assemblies according to procedures
• Inspect and evaluate mechanical parts, seals, bearings, surfaces, electrical connections, and other relevant components for wear, contamination, or damage
• Identify likely failure modes and determine parts or corrective actions required for repair
• Maintain clear separation and identification of components throughout the repair process

Repair, Reassembly & Testing

• Clean, repair, replace, and prepare components for reassembly in accordance with defined work instructions and quality requirements
• Reassemble vacuum pumps, RGAs, and other supported components with close attention to cleanliness, tolerances, torque requirements, sealing, and workmanship

Documentation & Quality

• Document the condition of incoming equipment, inspection findings, parts replaced, repair work completed, and final test results
• Take clear photographs and maintain repair records where required for traceability and customer documentation.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Completed technical education in a mechanical, mechatronic, electrical, precision‑mechanical, industrial‑mechanical, or comparable discipline
• Acceptable education includes a German vocational qualification (Ausbildung), Fachschule/Techniker qualification, Meister qualification, trade‑school certificate, or an engineering degree in a relevant technical field
• Practical hands‑on experience as well as relevant repair, assembly, maintenance, manufacturing, or technical service experience is preferred
• Demonstrated experience disassembling, inspecting, evaluating, documenting, and reassembling mechanical or electromechanical equipment
• Experience working with vacuum pumps, vacuum equipment, precision mechanical assemblies, analytical instruments, or similar technical products is strongly preferred.
