Project Manager in Carpentry / Fitting
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The project manager in carpentry/fitting is responsible for the complete coordination of interior carpentry and fitting projects, from the design phase to final delivery. Their duties include:
- Site surveys, taking measurements and preparing manufacturing plans (fittings, interior carpentry, standard and EI30 doors, woodwork, etc.) - Creating cutting lists and manufacturing files - Preparing quotes, measurements and cost estimates - Planning, monitoring and coordinating construction sites - Cost monitoring, budget management and meeting deadlines - Ordering and managing materials, liaising with suppliers - Coordinating internal teams and subcontractors assigned to the project - Quality control and managing non-conformities - Participating in site meetings with various stakeholders - Writing progress reports and updating schedules - Using CAD software (Autocad 2D), office software and internal ERP
PROFILE SOUGHT
- Advanced technical training (CFC, ES Technician or equivalent) in carpentry, fitting or timber construction - Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in French-speaking Switzerland - Excellent organisational skills, sense of priorities and anticipation - Good interpersonal skills, diplomacy and ability to liaise with architects, clients and internal teams - Strong customer service orientation, autonomy and responsiveness - Good stress management and ability to handle several projects simultaneously - Proficiency in software: Autocad 2D, MS Office (Word, Excel), knowledge of an ERP (advantageous) - In-depth knowledge of materials, installation techniques, Swiss standards (SIA, fire protection, acoustics, etc.)
