Your mission

We're moving fast upmarket, but every enterprise deal eventually runs into the same wall: a 200-question security questionnaire, an MSA redline marathon, or a DPA negotiation that can quietly cost us weeks. As Founders Associate – Deal Operations & Legal, you turn that wall into a smooth path. You are our contract-to-close motion. You own HubSpot operations and reporting, sharpen our legal playbook, and build the compliance backbone (ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.) that our customers and auditors expect. You'll work closely with our Chief of Staff and Founders, and your work will show up directly in shorter sales cycles, better forecasting, and bigger deals closed.
How your day-to-day will look like:

  • Deal Desk Ownership: You own the contract-to-close motion. You support our Sales team with order forms, MSAs, redlines, and DPAs, and make sure every deal moves through legal and security review without dead time. You set up templates, playbooks, and clear approval flows so we close faster as we grow.
  • HubSpot & Revenue Operations: You own our HubSpot as the single source of truth for everything customer-related: deal stages, special terms, contract status, renewal dates, compliance flags. You build the workflows, dashboards, and approval flows that keep the founders' view of the business accurate in real time, and you make sure that HubSpot is our operational backbone and not just a sales tool.
  • Contract Review & Legal Operations: You are the first set of eyes on every customer agreement, vendor contract, NDA, and IP clause. You triage what we handle in-house versus what goes to external counsel, keep our contract repository clean and searchable, and turn recurring questions into AI-powered review workflows that handle the first pass for you.
  • Compliance & Audit Readiness: You own our compliance posture end-to-end, from the policies and evidence behind ISO 27001 and SOC 2, to the GDPR mechanics in every DPA, to the security questionnaires that gate every enterprise deal. You build it so controls live in the day-to-day, not just in a binder before an audit.

Is it you we are looking for?

You...

  • Are a recent graduate in Wirtschaftsrecht, Business Law, Law, or a related field, or bring 1–2 years of first experience in the B2B SaaS / startup environment, or from a law firm/ in-house legal team.
  • Are wired for structure and operations. Contracts, frameworks, and processes feel like puzzles to you, not paperwork.
  • Are commercially minded. You don't just spot legal risk; you weigh it against the deal in front of you and help us decide what's worth pushing back on and what's not.
  • Have a strong hands-on mentality. You'd rather ship a rough V1 of a contract playbook this week than perfect every clause for three months.
  • Are AI-native and enjoy systems as much as contracts. You use Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools to build scaleable workflows. At the same time, you know exactly when to switch from autopilot to careful reading. Building a clean pipeline, a useful dashboard, or a tight automation satisfies you.
  • Bring curiosity for cybersecurity and the regulated world (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, DORA, NIS2, AI Act) and how it's reshaping enterprise buying. You don't need to know it all yet, you just enjoy learning it fast.
  • Treat confidentiality and judgment as non-negotiable. You'll sit close to customer contracts, employee data, and founder-level decisions from day one.
  • Communicate clearly in German (native or C2) and English (C1+), written and spoken. Most of our customers are German-speaking enterprises, so you're comfortable redlining and negotiating in both languages.
Bonus:
  • You've negotiated enterprise DPAs with DACH or European customers and know where the real friction sits, not just where the template puts it.
  • You've helped get a company through ISO 27001 or SOC 2: owning evidence, sitting in audits, watching how controls hold up under pressure.
  • You've built up HubSpot (or another CRM) from "we have an account" to "the founders actually use it" at an early-stage startup: workflows, custom properties, reporting, the works.
  • You've a background or genuine interest in cybersecurity, B2B SaaS, or regulated industries (finance, healthcare, critical infrastructure).

revel8 is building the next generation of cybersecurity awareness for the age of GenAI. We help organizations protect themselves against modern social engineering attacks by turning their employees into an active line of defense.

It's been a fast ride so far: Founded in August 2024 by Tom and Julius, we moved to the Merantix Campus in Berlin and welcomed Robert as our CTO and co-founder shortly after. We landed our first enterprise customer in March 2025, raised our €5.1M seed round in September 2025, and moved the whole team back to Munich in February 2026. Today, we are around 40 revels working side by side in our new office every day.
