Salesforce Administrator, AI-First (m/f/d)
This role is with one of our clients, not with Revenue Enablement. We run the search on their behalf. The client's name is shared in the first conversation.
Go-to-Market · Berlin (Hybrid, 3–4 days) · Reports to Head of Revenue Operations
Your role
Your job is to rebuild Salesforce and make it a truly user-friendly CRM that becomes the backbone of a global go-to-market organization. You own Salesforce: its data model, its automation, its data quality, and its evolution as the system of record for the entire commercial motion. But the role does not stop at the platform edge. You own the commercial systems landscape around it too, across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales Development. Salesforce is the core, not the boundary.
This is a deep Salesforce admin role, but not the ticket‑taking, click‑through‑screens kind. You are AI‑first. You operate Salesforce headlessly, you automate your own admin work, and you treat modern AI tooling and the CLI as your primary tools, not the setup menu.
The job is to keep Salesforce clean, well‑architected, fast to change, and genuinely easy to use. You think in data models and governance, not one‑off field requests. When something is repetitive, you automate it. When the org gets messy, you re‑architect it. You are the reason the GTM team can trust, and actually wants to use, what is in Salesforce.
How the team works
Salesforce is the system of record for the whole sales motion. Every account, opportunity, and forecast lives there, so the quality of the org is the quality of the revenue data. You operate it programmatically: metadata, the CLI, SOQL, version‑controlled changes, not point‑and‑click admin work. You use AI agents to do admin work faster: bulk changes, audits, documentation, data clean‑up. You own the integrations that connect Salesforce to the wider GTM stack (Planhat, Attention, Weflow, Outreach, Clari) with n8n, APIs, and webhooks, and you work closely with the BI and Data team so reporting sits inside one coherent data ecosystem. The team cares about a clean, reliable, well‑instrumented org that people actually adopt, not how many screens you clicked to get there.
Your impact
- Use AI to run and improve the org: agents and modern AI tooling for bulk operations, audits, documentation, and the repetitive admin work that normally eats a day. This is one of the most important parts of the role.
- Rebuild Salesforce into a user‑friendly CRM: simplify, re‑architect, and drive adoption so the GTM team actually wants to work in it.
- Own the Salesforce data architecture: objects, fields, relationships, record types, page layouts and Dynamic Forms. Design it well and keep it coherent as the business changes.
- Own data construction and quality: imports, migrations, deduplication, validation rules, and the governance that keeps revenue data trustworthy.
- Build and maintain automation: Flows, validation, approval processes, shipped through the CLI and metadata as version‑controlled changes, not click‑by‑click.
- Own security and access: profiles, permission sets, field‑level security, and sharing, set up cleanly and reviewed regularly.
- Own the integrations across the GTM systems landscape (Planhat, Attention, Weflow, Outreach, Clari), connecting them with n8n, APIs, and webhooks so data flows in and out of Salesforce reliably.
- Help build the wider data ecosystem: reporting and dashboards leadership trusts, in collaboration with the BI and Data team, not purely inside Salesforce.
- Work closely with GTM stakeholders and directly with subject‑matter experts. Own implementation end to end and drive adoption and business outcomes, not just configuration.
What you bring
- A genuinely AI‑first mindset. You already build with AI agents and modern AI tooling, and you reach for automation before manual work.
- Deep, hands‑on Salesforce administration. Data model, Flows, security, reporting, and the platform judgment that comes from running real orgs.
- A data‑architecture instinct. You think in clean data models, relationships, and governance. You care about data quality the way an engineer cares about clean code.
- Comfort operating Salesforce as code. Metadata, CLI, SOQL, version control, not just the UI.
- Some scripting and integration literacy. SOQL, basic scripting, and enough API fluency to connect systems.
- Stakeholder fluency. You work well with subject‑matter experts, own delivery end to end, and care about adoption and business outcomes.
Must have
- 2–5 years of relevant experience as a Salesforce Administrator running a real org for a B2B team.
- A track record of data work: data architecture, migrations, deduplication, and keeping an org clean.
- Demonstrated automation in Salesforce (Flows at minimum, ideally shipped via CLI or metadata).
- Fluency with modern AI tooling in real work, not just experimentation.
- Comfort working in an international environment.
- Fluent English.
Nice to have
- Salesforce Administrator certification (Administrator, Advanced Administrator, or Platform App Builder).
- Infrastructure or usage‑based SaaS experience.
- n8n or other workflow‑automation and integration experience across a GTM stack.
- Scripting in Python or JavaScript.
- German.
Why this might not be a fit
- You only do click‑based admin and avoid the CLI, code, and automation.
- You are a pure admin who is only interested in configuration and not in the commercial processes the org serves.
- You see AI as an optional add‑on rather than the way you work.
- You want a perfectly clean org handed to you. Here the data is real and sometimes messy, and fixing it is the job.
- You give up early when you hit resistance or ambiguity.
- You expect a pure startup environment. This is an established company. Success here needs confidence, measurable impact, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence leadership and drive change.
What success looks like (6–12 months)
- The Salesforce org is clean, well‑architected, and documented. Data quality is measurably better.
- Routine admin work is automated and runs through AI and the CLI, not manual clicks.
- Reporting is trusted because the data and data model underneath it are sound.
- Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Sales Development get well‑built solutions quickly, without accumulating technical debt.
