Procurement Manager
As a Procurement Manager on our team, you will play a key role in building and managing a global network of partners to handle a broad range of waste types and materials.
You will be responsible for sourcing, onboarding, and overseeing service providers, ensuring they meet our compliance, quality, and operational excellence standards.
Your key responsibilities:
· Procurement & Supplier Management: Lead the sourcing and onboarding of service providers, including carriers, sorting facilities, reuse centers, and recycling facilities. Support the expansion and enhancement of our existing network.
· Quality Control & Compliance: Oversee operational quality standards, data reporting, and compliance processes, ensuring all activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements across different regions.
· Operational Oversight: Work closely with the Operations Department to support daily operations and address challenges as they arise.
· Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Serve as a liaison among Procurement, Network, Customer Service, Sales, and Massflow teams, ensuring efficient operations and alignment with RLG’s strategic objectives.
· Reporting & Analysis: Perform regular data analysis and reporting on supplier performance, cost-effectiveness, and network quality. Share insights with relevant teams and adjust strategies as needed.
· Industry Expertise Development: Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory updates, building expertise to assess provider suitability and performance more effectively.
Your Profile:
· A minimum of 5 years in procurement, supply chain, or supplier management, with a strong preference for candidates with expertise in the environmental and recycling sectors. Specific experience in textile or textile waste management, or in battery recycling, is highly desirable.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
· Project Management Skills: Proven experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
· Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages (e.g., French, German, Spanish) is highly desirable.
· Technical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with procurement management systems is a plus.
· Personal Qualities: Independent, organized, and proactive with strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
