Let’s get in touch.What you'll be doingIdentifying and assessing a range of risks, including IT riskGuiding teams to design and implement effective controlsSupporting the development and implementation of operational risk policies and proceduresContributing to the definition of key indicators and the risk appetite statementDeveloping techniques for quantification of operational risk and resilience, including stress testing and impact tolerancesManaging the risk incident process and ensuring accurate recording of eventsOverseeing the preparation and handling of incident reportsMonitoring operational risk against defined limits and thresholds, and coordinating resolutions with risk stakeholdersProducing risk reports for management and relevant stakeholdersDeveloping and maintaining risk tools and IT systemsConducting presentations and workshops on risk identification and mitigationWhat you'll need5+ years of experience in operational risk management within banking or financial services, including information technology risk, outsourcing, and third-party riskA solid understanding of core operational risk concepts, control frameworks, and governance environmentsThe ability to analyse and structure complex topics into clear actions, including identifying second-order impacts of operational failuresDemonstrated proficiency in executing rigorous investigations, implementing tactical workarounds, and establishing long-term, sustainable control enhancementsFamiliarity with fintech risk areas, including payments, cards, lending, fraud, and AMLThe ability to anticipate increasing regulatory scrutiny and adapt local frameworks ahead of changing climatesA curious mindset with a drive to challenge assumptionsAn organised, methodical approach to problem-solvingNice to haveFamiliarity with operational risk stress testing and quantificationExperience working at a fast-paced global financial institution with matrixed reporting structuresSecond-line oversight experience in IT risk, cyber security, and data protectionBuilding a global financial super app isn’t enough.
