Embedded Software Engineer for SatCom RF Equipment and Systems (f/m/d)

RF-Design is a medium-sized and owner-managed company located in Lorsch/Germany. For more than 25 years we have been developing and manufacturing a wide range of premium quality RF distribution, RF-over-fiber, RF amplification and RF monitoring products for the satellite communication ground infrastructures around the globe.

To further strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced

Embedded Software Engineer for SatCom RF Equipment and Systems (f/m/d)

who shall support our team in a challenging technical environment. As a dedicated engineer (f/m/d), you are willing and able to tackle complex technical problems with expertise and ingenuity.

Job Description

• Design, implementation and maintenance of software with C/C++ for embedded Linux and ARM systems
• Managing source code and project versions with Git or Subversion for effective collaboration and traceability
• Contributing to the overall conception of the system architecture for new products and projects
• Participation in the planning and execution of software tests
• Introduction of new technologies and tools
• Recording, investigating and discussing potential user/customer problems and resolving them (bug fixing)
• Sharing responsibility for the goals of the technical team
• Creation and maintenance of documentation for software designs, code bases and test procedures

Education, Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or comparable degree in computer science, electrical engineering, communications engineering
• Solid knowledge of object-oriented software development
• Experience with Linux-based embedded systems
• Understanding of computer networks
• Experience in the SATCOM industry is an advantage
• Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, accuracy and flexibility as well as a high degree of team spirit
• Good knowledge of English and German is mandatory
• Open-minded and friendly manner
