Key Points of the Position

• Own the complete technical documentation landscape across multiple projects.
• Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams.
• Play a key role in a highly regulated and mission-critical environment.
• Drive documentation quality, consistency, and compliance from development through delivery.

As a Technical Writer, your responsibilities will include:

• Create and maintain technical datasheets for products, subsystems, and components.
• Write user manuals, installation guides, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation.
• Ensure documentation remains accurate, structured, version-controlled, and aligned with product evolution.
• Gather, review, and organize supplier certificates, test reports, and quality documentation.
• Prepare complete documentation packages for customer deliveries, audits, and compliance requirements.
• Develop training materials and documentation for internal teams and customers.
• Collaborate with engineers to collect, understand, and validate technical information.
• Identify documentation gaps, inconsistencies, and risks before they impact projects.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation processes and standards.

Necessary Skills:

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer in an industrial or engineering environment.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical information into clear and structured documentation.
• Experience working with technical specifications, engineering drawings, test reports, and product data.
• Familiarity with documentation management, version control, and review processes.
• Knowledge of quality standards and regulated environments (ISO 9001 or similar) is highly desirable.
• Experience with Jira, Git, or similar documentation/version control tools is a plus.
• Background in defense, aerospace, railway, medical devices, electronics, or other critical industries is advantageous.
• Flawless German is mandatory.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Eligibility for German security clearance (SÜ2/Ü2) is required.

€65,000 – €80,000 gross annual salary, depending on experience, technical expertise, and overall fit.
