- First dedicated Product Manager within a fast-growing deep-tech company
- Strong customer-facing role with 20-30% travel
- Ownership of requirements management, product configuration, and product lifecycle
- Direct collaboration with founders, CTO, engineering, sales, production, and customers
- Exposure to defense, robotics, RF communications, and sovereign technologies
As a Senior Product Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Gather customer and end-user needs through workshops, field visits, and operational discussions
- Translate customer requirements into structured Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), specifications, and acceptance criteria
- Define and maintain a clear and traceable product requirements repository
- Prioritize product developments and manage roadmap decisions
- Assess technical feasibility with engineering teams before customer commitments are made
- Establish and maintain the company product configuration catalogue
- Ensure alignment between sales offers, engineering capabilities, production constraints, and support requirements
- Manage product lifecycle activities, including variant management, obsolescence planning, and end-of-life decisions
- Track product development schedules and drive accountability across stakeholders
- Coordinate product release readiness with engineering, quality, and operations teams
- Collect field feedback and transform operational lessons into product improvements
- Contribute to product positioning, competitive analysis, and pricing strategy
- Implement scalable product management processes, tools, and documentation
Necessary skills:
- Minimum 5 years of Product Management experience in robotics, hardware, deep-tech, industrial systems, or similar technical environments
- Proven experience transforming customer needs into structured engineering requirements
- Experience managing products throughout the full lifecycle from discovery to deployment
- Strong understanding of both hardware and software development environments
- Experience with project and product management tools such as Jira
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, engineers, and leadership teams
- Strong execution and delivery mindset
- Fluent English
- Based in Munich or willing to relocate
- Willingness to undergo security vetting for defense-related activities
Appreciated additional experience:
- German language skills
- Requirements management, PLM, or configuration management tools
- Defense, aerospace, security, or regulated industries
- Creation of a Product Management function from scratch
- RF communications, unmanned systems, drones, or robotics technologies
Salary:
€85,000 - €110,000 gross per year + Equity / VSOP package
