Overview
As Automation Engineer in the PLC & UX Controls team, you will advance automation capabilities across products, machines and integrated systems. You combine hands-on engineering with product development to create modular, reusable platforms and scalable architectures. You will contribute to model-based development and AI-assisted methods, working with internal teams and partners to translate requirements into robust control solutions and intuitive user interfaces. This role offers a hands-on, impact-driven path in a global, engineering-focused environment.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Develop and maintain PLC-based control systems for machines and process automation applications
- Design intuitive HMI and UX solutions for safe and efficient operation
- Define functional concepts, interfaces and reusable software modules for modular product platforms
- Translate business and customer requirements into technical specifications and automation solutions
- Evaluate, test and qualify technologies and software from external providers; advise on integration or make-or-buy decisions
- Support testing, commissioning, documentation and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Degree in automation engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, systems engineering or a comparable technical field
- Practical experience in PLC programming and industrial automation
- Knowledge of IEC 61131-3 programming environments
- Understanding of industrial communication systems, machine interfaces and system integration
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Languages: English fluent; German or additional languages advantageous
