Research Associate in Catalysis: We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our dynamic team in investigating the behavior of heterogeneous catalysts during catalytic cycling. The position involves conducting in-situ X-ray scattering experiments, analyzing pair distribution function (PDF) data, and collaborating closely with the group of Prof. Palkovits at RWTH Aachen. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work flexibly, receive comprehensive training, and contribute to cutting-edge research in catalysis.
Designation: Research Associate
Research Area: Catalysis and In-Situ X-ray Scattering
Location: RWTH Aachen University, Institute of Crystallography
Minimum Requirements:
- University degree (Master or equivalent) in chemistry, physics, materials, or geoscience.
- Experience in at least two of the following: heterogeneous catalysts, mass spectrometry, X-ray scattering, data analysis/scientific programming (Origin Pro, Igor Pro, Python).
- High motivation for further training and academic qualification (doctorate).
- Good command of written and spoken English, and possibly German.
Job Description:
- Synthesis of heterogeneous catalysts and characterization using techniques such as TGA, IR, TEM, MS, BET.
