The RIB Group, a subsidiary of Schneider Electric, is transitioning to dual GAAP reporting (IFRS & US-GAAP) and strengthening its financial controls to align with US compliance standards. This role will be instrumental in driving these initiatives.Work Location Note: This is not a remote position; a hybrid work model (2–3 days per week in the office) is offered at our Berlin, Stuttgart or Freiburg locations.Key responsibilitiesConsolidation and Group ReportingOverseeing group reporting for the ~45 entities of RIB, promoting reporting excellence and best practice.Being a key contact/ act as the primary liaison for the parent accounting and business finance teams, managing queries and requests for consolidated information from the RIB Group.Collaborate with the Controls leads to ensure SOX compliance in relation to group reporting practicesManage the relationship with external auditors, overseeing group reporting procedures.Technical Accounting and ComplianceEnsure group-wide compliance with IFRS and US-GAAP accounting standards.Identify and calculate consolidation and US-GAAP adjustments for the Group.Coordinate and compile disclosures for US-GAAP group reporting.Provide guidance and support the senior finance team on complex accounting issues, including the preparation and review of technical accounting papers.Transitional Project – Manual Consolidation (FY24, FY25)Oversee the current manual consolidation of ~45 entities, working alongside an external consultancy firm.Manage Chart of Accounts and map/reconciliate from local to group reporting.Identify and quantify of opening balance adjustments.Develop a methodology for ongoing calculation of US-GAAP differencesCoordinate and consolidate required US-GAAP disclosures.Transformation Project – Transition to a new Group Reporting toolRepresent RIB Group in the design and implementation of a new group consolidation system.Reconciliate historical data and opening balances.Manage the transition to the new group reporting system, including change management and training of local controllers.QualificationsCompleted degree in Business Studies; focus on Finance & Accounting, and/or qualified Accountant.Minimum of 10 years of experience as Group Accountant within an international matrix organization.Experience with US-GAAP and IFRS/ deep knowledge of IFRS and US-GAAP accounting standardsAbility to work in a project-oriented and conceptual manner while managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.Desired Skills And CompetenciesProactive “self-starter” with a \“can do\“ attitude and \“hands on\“ mentality.Experience in leading transformations and navigating ambiguity with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.Very good analytical skills plus verbal & written communication skills, with the ability to interpret and clearly convey information, interact and convince with a wide range of stakeholders at various levels, including senior management, and other teams to drive change in a collaborative approach.Experience with SAP (or other ERPs) and MS OfficeVery good English language skills (Level C1/C2).Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud and HFMExpertise in leading migrations from manual to automated consolidation.Good or very good German language skills (Level B2-C2)Chancengleichheit und DiversityCHANCENGLEICHHEIT UND DIVERSITYRIB VisionRIB VISIONRole detailsSeniority level: AssociateEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Accounting/Auditing and FinanceIndustries: Software Development #J-18808-Ljbffr
