A global manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced procurement leader to oversee a high-value strategic sourcing portfolio supporting multiple international production facilities.
This leadership position is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, managing critical supplier relationships, leading commercial negotiations, and ensuring reliable supply of key raw materials for manufacturing operations.
The successful candidate will partner closely with operations, finance, legal, logistics, and executive leadership to optimize cost, mitigate supply risk, and support long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives for a significant international spend portfolio.
Lead commercial negotiations for complex, high-value supply agreements.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and business partners.
Evaluate market dynamics, pricing trends, and supply risks to support informed purchasing decisions.
Develop short- and long-term sourcing strategies that balance cost, supply continuity, and business objectives.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and procurement planning through market analysis and financial insight.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement performance, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure effective contract management, regulatory compliance, and operational execution.
Lead, coach, and develop a procurement team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Support enterprise-wide procurement initiatives and contribute to broader business strategy.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
Seven or more years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, commercial, or supply chain leadership experience.
Demonstrated success negotiating and managing large, complex commercial agreements.
Experience managing significant annual procurement spend within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyze market conditions and develop effective sourcing strategies.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, financial, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across multiple locations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business reporting tools.
Proven leadership experience with direct people management responsibilities.
Willingness to travel periodically as business needs require.
Preferred Background Experience in commodity procurement or other market-driven purchasing environments.
Knowledge of supply chain risk management and strategic supplier development.
International sourcing and procurement experience.
