(Senior) Transaction Analyst – Real Estate in Berlin

What you’ll do

You will support the full lifecycle of real estate transactions across Germany and selected international markets, covering office, hotel, residential/BTR, logistics and development opportunities. Working alongside Senior Transaction Managers and the Co-Head of Transactions, you will contribute to the screening, evaluation, underwriting and execution of new investment opportunities.

A core element of the role will be financial analysis and modelling. You will prepare and maintain Excel-based financial models, DCF analyses, business plans and scenario modelling for both stabilised assets and value-add and development opportunities. You will also undertake feasibility analysis for repositioning, conversion and development strategies, stress-testing assumptions and assessing investment cases.

You will play an active role in transaction execution, supporting due diligence workstreams, coordinating advisers, managing data rooms and assisting with LOIs, term sheets and other transaction documentation. You will also support signing and closing processes, including CP tracking and condition satisfaction, ensuring transactions progress efficiently and with appropriate attention to detail.

Alongside transaction execution, you will contribute to market research and deal origination activity. This will include analysing supply and demand dynamics, rental trends, yields and competitive landscapes, maintaining acquisition pipelines and CRM systems, and engaging with brokers, institutional investors, JV partners and other stakeholders.

What you’ll need

• At least 2 years’ experience within real estate investment, real estate private equity, M&A, asset management, valuation or brokerage
• Strong experience in financial modelling and investment analysis across European real estate markets
• Advanced Excel capability, including DCF, IRR and scenario modelling — this is essential
• Strong PowerPoint skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise investment and board materials
• Experience across acquisitions, disposals or development projects would be advantageous
• Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline
• MRICS and/or a Master's-level qualification would be advantageous
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex investment opportunities
• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
• High attention to detail, ownership mentality and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with AI tools, AI-assisted research, prompt engineering and/or CRM or deal management platforms would be advantageous
• Familiarity with data room platforms such as Drooms, Intralinks or Datasite would be beneficial
• Excellent written and spoken English is essential; fluent German is highly preferred

Recruitment Process

The process will include two interviews with the team, followed by a further remote and/or onsite stage. Candidates will be asked to complete a take-home case study as part of the assessment process. There is no financial modelling test.
