RINA is developing a health smartwatch that supports heart-rate, sleep, activity, calorie, women health and other vital-parameter monitoring.
We are looking for someone with a medical or biomedical background who can help ensure that RINA's health features are scientifically relevant, measurable and responsibly communicated.
Your responsibilities
- Translate health requirements into measurable physiological parameters
- Evaluate sensors for heart rate, temperature, movement, sleep and reproductive-health insights
- Analyse physiological and wearable-sensor data
- Research menstrual-cycle, fertility, sleep and cardiovascular monitoring
- Support the development and validation of health algorithms
- Define testing methods, measurement limitations and appropriate health communication
- Work closely with the hardware and embedded-software engineer
Education
You are studying or recently graduated in:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Medical Technology
- Bioengineering
- Digital Health or Health Informatics
- Human Physiology
- Medicine with technical or health-data experience
Students should have completed most of their coursework, with only the thesis or final requirement remaining.
Required experience
- Knowledge of physiology, biosensors or wearable health monitoring
- Experience analysing data using Python, MATLAB or R
- Understanding of research methods, statistics and scientific literature
- Interest in menstrual health, fertility, sleep or cardiovascular health
Experience with PPG, heart-rate variability, actigraphy, signal processing, clinical research or medical-device standards is an advantage.
