Chef de Rang Select 100% Position: Chef de Rang (Select)
Location: 8001 Zürich (ZH)
Employment: Permanent, 100% workload, Immediate start. Work form: Sunday and holiday work, shift work.
Responsibilities
Ensure smooth operation of assigned area, supporting overall service success.
Serve, recommend and sell food and/or beverages.
Receive guests, escort to tables, and embody the host role.
Implement service procedures, including HACCP compliance.
Manage a service station, support colleagues, and handle cash receipts.
Actively promote sales of aperitifs, daily menu, wine, desserts, digestifs and other upsell opportunities.
Process orders and forward them to kitchen, pizzeria or buffet.
Handle guest complaints according to standard procedures.
Monitor equipment and furnishings; conduct and supervise cleaning tasks.
Leave the station tidy and in impeccable condition.
Qualifications
Unskilled level knowledge.
Experience: more than 1 year in restaurant service.
Proficient orally in German (very good); written German (good).
Basic Italian language skills.
Knowledge of food preparation, hygiene regulations, gastronomy, and wine.
Ability to manage serving utensils and daily cash ledger.
Personality & Skills
Self‑control, resilience, sense of duty, versatility, teamwork spirit.
Good presentation and customer‑oriented attitude.
Active participation in service meetings; contributes to positive team spirit.
