Linux Engineer (Senior) vacancy for our Emmen based client in the energy sector.
Your tasks:
- Developing, managing, and maintaining Linux systems
- Managing VMware SAN storage and data backup systems
- Leading and executing system migrations from on-premises to cloud platforms
- Collaborating with stakeholders to evaluate and implement IT requirements
- Improving system performance and efficiency at Axpo
- Providing technical expertise in shaping and updating ICT architectures
Your experience/knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of IT operations, system engineering, and security services
- Expertise with server environments like VMware, Azure Arc, or Azure Stack HCI
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform and GitHub
- Extensive experience with Linux servers, containers, and cloud platforms
- University degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a focus on Linux, storage, and backup systems
- Excellent comprehension skills with attention to detail
- Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams
