Research Chemist - Synthetic Organic Chemistry, vacancy for our Stein based client in the Chemical Manufacturing sector. Your tasks: Design and execute synthetic organic chemistry routes safely, efficiently and independently. Develop and optimize target molecules using retrosynthesis, troubleshooting and purification techniques. Carry out detailed risk assessments in line with HSE standards. Document experimental procedures and results accurately to support reproduction, retrieval and IP protection. Collaborate with internal support platforms and project teams to improve laboratory productivity. Contribute to continuous improvement in laboratory ways of working, safety and scientific practice. Your experience/knowledge: Minimum qualification is a master’s degree or 3 – 5 years of industrial experience following full training through an apprenticeship program, both in synthetic chemistry work level 3. 2 years minimum as research scientist (full pro experience, not internship, not apprenticeship) Proven hands-on experience in synthetic chemistry, including reaction design, retrosynthesis, purification and structural elucidation. Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment. Confident use of software tools for synthesis planning and data analysis. Proficiency in English is required.
