Overview As AGD for Quantitative Safety Sciences, you lead a global team spanning Data Science, Pharmacoepidemiology, and PV Literature to shape data-driven analysis strategies and risk profiles for Roche medicines. You drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver model-based insights that support regulatory deliverables and safety decision-making. You ensure high-quality, agile delivery while developing talent and advancing innovative analytical methods. You help translate scientific questions into strategic data reporting and guidance for PV risk management. Verantwortungsbereiche Lead and develop a global team of Quantitative Safety Scientists across multiple sites; set remit, culture, and ways of working. Oversee delivery of Quantitative Safety Science using advanced data science, pharmacoepidemiology, and literature methods across Real World Data, clinical trials, and literature databases. Provide leadership for scientific projects, advising on methodologies and fit-for-purpose data sources for pharmacovigilance and safety risk management. Build internal and external networks to enable collaboration across groups and drive global cross-functional initiatives (e.g., PSI, Clinical Safety, PD Data Science, pRED/gRED). Manage resources and prioritisation, recruit and onboard new team members, and support coaching and development of direct reports. Possibly deputise for the Group Director, Safety Analytics and Reporting. Zentrale Anforderungen University degree with MSc or PhD in computer science, quantitative science, or natural sciences with statistical data analysis specialization. Extensive data science experience in a scientific/medical context with relational databases and modelling techniques. Strong leadership, coaching, and project management skills with experience directing diverse technical teams. Deep familiarity with drug safety data (FAERS, trials, biomarkers, Real World Data) and related business processes. Strategic and analytical thinking; ability to translate complex questions into data reporting and analysis strategies.
