Overview
In this role, you will advance quantitative imaging science to translate complex data into actionable insights for clinical development. You will join the Imaging Data Insights Basel team to shape data-driven biomarker strategies and inform portfolio decisions through state-of-the-art AI/ML in biomedical imaging. You will collaborate across disease areas, biomarker teams, and translational medicine to accelerate scientific discovery and decision-making. Your work will help enable faster, more informed development of medicines that improve patient outcomes. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Formulate scientific questions and design analysis strategies with stakeholders across disease areas, clinical sciences, biomarker, and translational medicine
- Develop and apply AI/ML approaches for biomedical imaging and multimodal data to derive quantitative biomarkers
- Leverage Generative AI and Agentic AI to accelerate workflows and enhance decision-making
- Analyze imaging data from preclinical and clinical studies to support study design, biomarker development, drug differentiation, endpoint strategies, and portfolio decisions
- Develop, maintain, and document scalable, reusable computational workflows and pipelines aligned with global standards
- Represent the Imaging Data Insights team as a trusted partner, communicating findings and delivering portfolio impact
- Mentor junior scientists and contribute to fostering technical excellence and a collaborative culture
Zentrale Anforderungen
- PhD in a scientific or technical discipline with 3+ years of pharma R&D experience
- Deep expertise in biomedical image analysis, data science, AI/ML, and computational workflows for imaging
- Ability to translate imaging and biological data into actionable R&D insights across the value chain
- Proven ability to work in high-performing, cross-functional teams and influence without formal authority
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
