Role Overview As the
Business Analytics Lead , you will be the strategic architect of the data roadmap shaping the Patient Insights portfolio and strategy at Roche Information Solutions (RIS). You will serve as the single source of truth for the RIS Patient Insights portfolio metrics and act as the orchestrator of Patient Insights‑wide business analytics. You will create effective strategies to collect data, analyze information, conduct research and implement analytics. You will bring a keen strategic focus and ability to translate data into actionable insights, championing data‑driven decision making and enabling RIS Patient Insights to become the leading chronic disease management company.
Responsibilities
You explore, develop, implement and evaluate innovative business analytic solutions to meet customer needs (internal and external).
You act as a bridge between traditionally siloed data sets (e.g. Finance, Portfolio, CX, Sales) to inform RIS Patient Insights business decisions and promote alignment with RIS Patient Insights Strategy.
You lead key strategic initiatives related to RIS Patient Insights‑wide data analytics (e.g. executive dashboard creation; transversal governance data requirements/definitions) – developing and coordinating project plans with stakeholders to deliver on expectations.
You collaborate with other business intelligence functions (incl. Finance, Commercial) to harmonize and simplify the KPI identification, gathering, collection and visualization processes.
You work with technical colleagues in R&D and IT, identifying business requirements related to data analytics and supporting development of solutions that meet customer requirements.
You serve as the single source of truth for RIS Patient Insights customer portfolio metrics.
You collaborate with product, service and solution development and pipeline key stakeholders to define key performance metrics for all RIS Patient Insights solutions – tracking product development, commercialization and use.
You serve as the accountable business owner of key reporting solutions (e.g. Tableau), acting as a ‘super user’ able to interrogate data and translate it into actionable insight.
You provide expertise with respect to portfolio analytics and key strategic recommendations that facilitate trade‑off discussions.
You serve as a coach and mentor, building competencies in business analytics via training, education of methods, tools and frameworks.
You promote insights‑backed development and data‑driven decision making, developing content and delivering presentations (internal and external).
You create an environment of strong team spirit, timely & effective communications, sense of urgency, high motivation and inspire the team to achieve goals in the immediate and longer term.
You serve as a catalyst, bridge builder and change agent – promoting strategic focus, audience‑driven communication and structured problem thinking.

Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Data, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Business Administration (advanced degree preferred).
Expertise in data science, analytics, statistical methods.
Familiarity with standard business intelligence and analytics platforms (e.g. Tableau, Oracle); preference for hands‑on experience with Tableau and Countly or Looker.
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in Diagnostics / MedTech.
Strong quantitative skills – particularly in analysis/visualization/reporting of data.
Experience in Lean Analytics, combined with competencies in digital business and health care analytics.
Competence in the design of dashboards, information design, visualization of data for education and decision making.
Knowledge of ethics, compliance, data privacy, data security regulations.
Business‑fluent in English; German language skills are preferred, and other languages (especially Spanish) are an advantage.
EU citizenship or a valid Austrian work permit.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to translate analysis, concepts and recommendations into tangible action plans for a broad range of audiences, from the board to front line.
