Overview Join Roche’s Oncology Discovery team to advance preclinical cancer programs and translate basic findings into therapeutic strategies. You will lead target identification and cross-functional initiatives, shaping portfolio decisions and go/No-Go milestones. Verantwortungsbereiche Lead internal target identification initiatives from ideation to program nomination Coordinate cross-functional portfolio projects as a matrix leader to achieve long-term objectives Design, execute and interpret experiments; present results to project leaders and stakeholders Integrate complex datasets, including high-dimensional omics data, for target validation Resolve key scientific challenges and propagate new knowledge across the portfolio Lead external innovation activities and deliver go/no-go recommendations across stages (Pre-DD to DevGo) Oversee MTA studies and contribute to DD reports and governance presentations Provide clear vision, coaching, and architecture to enable smart decision-making and performance Foster a collaborative, accountable culture and promote knowledge sharing within pRED Model end-to-end collaboration and ensure delivery while managing resources Apply proactive performance management and align behaviors with scientific and business impact Zentrale Anforderungen PhD or MD/PhD in Molecular or Cellular Biology, Immunology, Pharmacology or similar 6+ years of relevant postdoctoral (or equivalent) experience in academic or pharma/biotech Prior industry experience preferred Experience in cancer drug discovery, translational research, and targeting molecular pathways with diverse modalities Experience in intracellular oncogenic signalling and cancer cell dependencies Knowledge of cell cycle regulation, transcription factors, oncogenic signalling; ADC biology a plus Experience supporting IND study reports or contributing to DD/Pre-DD sections is advantageous Strong collaborative skills and ability to work within a matrix organization Excellent communication and ability to interact with cross-functional teams Collaborative mindset Strong communication Accountability and reliability Cancer biology Translational research Target validation using genetic/pharmacological approaches
