Virtual Product Home (VPH) —a mission‑critical, standard internal document management solution that supports over 5,000 active users and manages data for 800+ Roche products across our global manufacturing network.
KM increases the productivity and efficiency of every one of our company’s employees. We deliver services, processes and solutions that help an organization of several thousand researchers to manage and analyze their information. During the last years we have, for example, developed state-of-the-art solutions for semantic and numerical integration, automated processes for large-scale document management, and AI-based information retrieval and classification tools. All our project teams follow the agile method within a very large IT organization, but embedded in a research & development function. Our interns are part of the team – which means you share all the fun & all the pain.
The opportunity
Be a part of a global team that delivers technical solutions to knowledge management problems
Coordinate with colleagues and customers in the US and Europe to deliver complex technical solutions and drive change into the organization
Manage projects independently, participate in Scrum ceremonies, and present results to the team
Work with operational and service professionals to support content migrations, application development, content analysis and AI/ML driven decision support

Who you are
You are an enrolled student in a University program with focus on Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Pharma, IT or related fields or graduated within 12 months prior to the start date. You like to think creatively and tackle problems.
You’re someone who wants to influence your own development and looking for a company where you receive the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies. Working in a multicultural environment motivates you.
You have ability to present ideas in a clear, comprehensive manner and independent working style, yet also in a very high performing team.
You possess organizational and administrative skills.
Experience in software development and programming is a plus.
Fluent in English, knowledge in German is a plus.
Additional Information
Due to regulations non-EU/EFTA citizens must provide a certificate from the university stating that an internship is mandatory as part of the application documents.
The earliest possible starting date 1st of September 2026.
Part‑time employment is not possible.
Duration: 6‑12 months, full‑time (40 hours/week).
Location: Basel.
The position is not suitable for writing a Bachelor/Master thesis.
