Serving approximately 300,000 people across a 60-70 mile radius, the St. Lawrence Region has significant demand for cardiovascular care. Join an established, busy practice of four cardiologists, with a goal of growing the regional team to six, while helping expand access to cardiovascular care across the North Country. Here, you’ll experience the relationships and autonomy of community-based medicine with the clinical resources and connectivity of Rochester Regional Health and the Sands-Constellation Heart Institute. Your practice will include: Full-spectrum non-invasive cardiology across outpatient and inpatient settings Echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, stress testing and EKG interpretation Regional cardiovascular outreach Collaboration with Primary Care, Hospital Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care and other specialties Primary clinical locations at Canton-Potsdam Hospital and Massena Hospital Beyond your clinical practice, you’ll have the opportunity to strengthen regional referral relationships, expand access to non-invasive cardiovascular care, and bring your clinical interests and ideas to a community with significant cardiovascular needs. Community Practice with System-Level Connectivity Practice in a collaborative community environment while remaining connected to the Sands-Constellation Heart Institute and cardiovascular specialists across Rochester Regional Health, including interventional cardiology, structural heart, electrophysiology, advanced cardiac imaging, heart failure and cardiothoracic surgery. You can also remain academically and professionally engaged through Cardiology Grand Rounds, multidisciplinary cardiovascular conferences, educational activities and system-wide collaboration. EDUCATION: DO MD PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.
