We are looking for an Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer to join us! Fresh graduates are welcome to apply 🙂
Business Area:
For over 25 years, our team has used our software products and engineering procedures to create advanced analytics and model predictive control applications for customers worldwide. Our applications integrate with existing manufacturing systems to drive improvements in product quality, production capacity, and energy usage. Our business is diverse, with significant work in food, polymers, biofuels, refining, and minerals processing, with plans for expansion.
The Role:
As an Advanced Process Control Engineer, you will be part of teams delivering custom applications using Rockwell Automation’s analytics and model predictive control products to enhance manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities include assessing customer processes, developing mathematical models, and configuring online applications for process control. You will handle all technical aspects from design to commissioning, including hardware installation and system integration.
Responsibilities:
- Perform design, system integration, data analysis, application development, installation, and commissioning tasks.
- Identify and communicate technical issues impacting project performance.
- Provide project status, performance metrics, and documentation of best practices.
- Lead analytics projects and mentor junior engineers.
- Support existing customer systems through health checks, performance analysis, and recommendations.
- Assist sales and market development activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or equivalent in chemical engineering or related field with focus on modeling, statistics, or process control.
- Interest in automation and advanced control applications.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Experience leading complex projects in process industries.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, and supervisory control applications.
- Experience with advanced control implementation and business case development.
- Familiarity with DCS, SCADA, HMI, PLC configurations.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, including international trips.
Desired Qualifications:
- Over 3 years of experience in process control solutions.
- Experience with Rockwell Automation or similar products.
- Knowledge of industrial networking, OPC, SQL communication.
