We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking individual for the role as Digital Manufacturing Manager (f/m/d) within the Assembly & Test area at our Dahlewitz site (near Berlin). In this role, you will drive the execution of strategic digital projects, enhance transparency, and support continuous improvement in our assembly lines.
You will also lead an internal software development team responsible for delivering bespoke digital solutions for our global assembly operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of Digital Manufacturing projects to support the Assembly & Test business strategy at Dahlewitz
- Manage an internal software development team creating tailored applications for global assembly lines
- Ensure business readiness and effective change management for process transformations introduced by new digital systems
- Serve as the Technical Authority for Digital Manufacturing and Data within the business, working closely with IT, Design, and Operations across the entire product lifecycle
- Develop and manage both internal and external delivery teams - including suppliers, joint ventures (JVs), and technology partners - to maximize impact and effectiveness
Your Profile:
- Master's degree in a technical discipline
- Strong understanding of IT systems and infrastructure in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with business process improvement and project management methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
- Background in software development preferred (relevant tech stack: Python, Flask, React, JavaScript, Azure)
- Broad knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering processes and hands-on experience in a production environment
- Proven track record of leading complex projects involving significant technical risk
- Extensive internal and external professional networks
- Strong collaboration, people development, and team leadership skills
- Fluent in both German and English
