Mechanical Engineer / Design Engineer (all genders welcome)

What you can expect

To strengthen our development team at our location in Stutensee (Karlsruhe area), we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer / Design Engineer (all genders welcome).

Together with a small interdisciplinary team, you will ensure the rapid implementation of customer-specific product developments. These are mainly self-propelled (robotics) as well as \“free-floating\“ inspection equipment for oil, gas, and hydrogen pipelines.

Responsibilities:

• Development and construction of project-specific solutions for our pipeline inspection equipment
• Collaboration in the design of complete systems, subsystems, assemblies, and individual parts
• Specification and evaluation of all necessary tests, as well as documentation of the projects carried out
• Creation of production-ready drawings and parts lists for in-house production
• Supporting the team in dealing with product-specific issues regarding legislation, regulations, standards, test instructions, and risk assessments
• Execution or implementation of internal tests on the test site

What you will bring

• Completed studies in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field
• At least 5 years of professional experience in design
• Sound knowledge of 3D CAD systems (SolidWorks)
• Ideally experience in engine and transmission design
• A broad technical understanding, a practical and pragmatic approach, and good communication skills
• Good command of English (both written and spoken); knowledge of German is a plus
