Tätigkeiten
Central internal point of contact for legal matters within the Finance department
Legal support in international accounts receivable management and the collection of outstanding debts
Independent handling of overdue accounts, as well as oversight and coordination of the entire collection process
Review and assessment of outstanding or disputed claims and determination of appropriate legal measures
Preparation and follow-up of reminders, payment demands, payment agreements, and out-of-court settlements
Coordination and supervision of external attorneys and debt collection partners in Germany and abroad
Liaison between Finance, Accounting, Sales, and external legal counsel
Handling of legal cases, court-ordered collection proceedings, insolvencies, and international bad debt
Support for the further development and standardization of internal collection and escalation processes
Legal Analysis of Selected Issues in Commercial and Contract Law in International Business
Anforderungen
A degree in law or business law is preferred
Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally at an internationally active trading company
Experience in accounts receivable management, dunning procedures, or the collections process is a plus
Understanding of business and financial concepts
Experience in collaborating with and managing external attorneys or legal advisors
Knowledge of contract law, commercial law, insolvency law, and debt collection law is a plus
Excellent German and English language skills for international communication
Strong communication and assertiveness skills
An independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
Entrepreneurial thinking and a pragmatic approach to legal issues
