Overview
As Lead Mechanical Engineer you will drive mechanical design and delivery for mission-critical data centre projects across borders. You collaborate with a global team to develop advanced 3D designs up to working documentation level, oversee live-site brownfield work, and manage risk and commissioning activities. You’ll shape technical scope, engage vendors, and communicate with clients and internal leadership to ensure high-quality outcomes. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Manage and deliver mechanical work packages across multiple projects
- Define scope, objectives and project documentation for contractors, vendors, and regulators
- Write technical specifications and reports
- Assist the project manager with cost and risk assessments
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships and ongoing technical development
- Review contractor pre-qualifications and tender evaluations; advise on vendor selection
- Represent the company at factory acceptance tests and site testing & commissioning
- Communicate project status to internal directors and external clients
- Contribute to cross-border multidisciplinary work and internal process optimization

- Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering (minimum)
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and/or installation
- Good knowledge of standard practices in design and construction
